Monarch urges Prince William to prepare for the crown as tensions with Harry deepen
Prince Harry may be facing a dramatic shift in his royal standing as King Charles III is said to have made firm decisions about the future of the monarchy — and they reportedly do not include his younger son.
According to royal sources, the King has asked Prince William to accelerate preparations to take on greater responsibilities, signaling a quiet transition as concerns over the monarch's health growth.
“King Charles will most likely cut Harry out of his fortune because he received millions from Princess Diana after she passed away — and the palace has made it clear that’s all the money he’s going to get,” an insider told RadarOnline.
Royal expert Jennie Bond also weighed in, suggesting Harry's bond with William has all but faded, and the Duke of Sussex is unlikely to play any meaningful role in the future of the monarchy.
As part of efforts to modernize and streamline the institution, Prince William is reportedly opposed to Harry's children — Archie and Lilibet — holding royal titles or positions in the future.
Amid these developments, concerns surrounding King Charles's health continue to mount. One source claimed, "His cancer is eating him alive. He's very frail. The situation is desperate. He simply isn't up to the job of running his fractious family."
Palace courtiers are also said to have taken measures to ensure Harry is excluded from any portion of the estimated $34 billion in Crown assets, following what some describe as a betrayal of the family.
This reported decision comes after Harry's highly public criticism of the monarchy, including a BBC interview in which he challenged both the Crown and his father, and a failed legal bid to restore taxpayer-funded security for his family during visits to the UK.
As Prince William prepares to assume a more prominent role in royal leadership, Harry appears to be more firmly positioned on the outside — financially, symbolically, and institutionally.
