Princess Catherine and Prince Louis’ Wimbledon Plans Still Uncertain

Kensington Palace remains silent as royal fans await possible appearance at finals

As Wimbledon weekend approaches, royal watchers are eagerly waiting to see whether Princess Catherine will attend the prestigious tennis finals — but Kensington Palace has yet to confirm her plans.

It remains unclear if the Princess of Wales will be present at either the women's final on Saturday or the men's final on Sunday. Should she attend, she is expected to take on her traditional role of presenting trophies to the winners and runners-up of the singles matches.

This year, Catherine has not been spotted at any Wimbledon events — a notable absence given her long-standing connection to the tournament. Prince William and the couple's three children have also yet to appear in the Royal Box during the 2025 championships.

In previous years, Prince George and Princess Charlotte made notable appearances, including their joint outing to the 2023 men's final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Prince Louis, however, has yet to make his Wimbledon debut. In 2023, Catherine shared that Louis had been “very upset” about missing the action, making this year a possible opportunity for his first visit.

Meanwhile, other royal figures have already made appearances at this year's matches, including Queen Camilla, Catherine's mother Carole Middleton, the Duchess of Edinburgh, their daughters, and Sarah Ferguson. On Friday, the Duchess of Gloucester was also in attendance for the semi-final rounds.

Catherine or her children will make a surprise appearance at the end. Whether it remains to be seen — but royal fans are holding out hope.
