Young royal absent from key football outing despite being an avid supporter of England’s Lionesses
Prince George will not be accompanying his father, Prince William, to Switzerland for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 group stage match between England and the Netherlands, marking a rare absence for the young football enthusiast during a major sporting event.

Prince William, who serves as Patron of The Football Association, is attending the match in Zurich just a day after hosting French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte during their State Visit to the UK. He also met with the Lionesses at St. George’s Park last week to wish them luck ahead of the tournament.
