Could King Charles finally reunite with his grandchildren this year?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be considering a return to the UK as their multi-million-dollar Netflix deal nears its end and peace talks with the Royal Family begin to take shape.
According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's lucrative contract with Netflix will not be renewed when it expires in September. Royal commentator Ian Pelham believes this looming loss could push the couple to reconsider their base in California. “They obviously have a lavish lifestyle, and it was always thought that Netflix saw the duo as the jewel in the crown for their platform,” he told Fox News.
Pelham added that while other streaming services may step in with offers, the uncertainty surrounding the couple's future could encourage them to move back to Harry's home country.
However, any plans to relocate appear complicated by ongoing security issues. After a major legal setback in May 2025, Harry told the BBC, “I don't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point.” He also expressed sadness over not being able to introduce his children to their British roots.
Despite the obstacles, recent meetings between King Charles and the Duke of Sussex's aides in London have sparked hope that a family reunion — and a long-awaited meeting between King Charles and his grandchildren — could be on the horizon.
