Duke of Sussex fears future Queen may be “hiding the truth” about her recovery as he considers a return to the UK
As Princess Catherine bravely resumes public life following her cancer treatment, Prince Harry is said to be quietly concerned for her wellbeing—believing she may be struggling more than she lets on.
According to RadarOnline, the Duke of Sussex has expressed deep concern for his sister-in-law, who recently shared a rare and emotional update about her health during a visit to Colchester Hospital’s cancer wellness unit on July 2.
During the visit, the Princess candidly spoke about the post-treatment phase of her recovery, describing it as “really, really difficult.” Diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer following abdominal surgery in January 2024, Catherine completed chemotherapy in September of that year and announced her remission in early 2025.
Sources close to Harry say he still cares deeply for Catherine, with whom he had a close bond before stepping back from royal duties and relocating to California with Meghan Markle in 2020. One insider revealed, “He knows she’s the type to put on a brave face no matter what she’s going through, so of course he’s very concerned.”
Catherine’s honesty about adjusting to a “new normal” struck a chord with many. She admitted that while she showed resilience during treatment, the aftermath brought unexpected emotional and physical challenges.
Despite gradually returning to royal engagements—including her appearance at Trooping the Colour and a recent surprise stop at the RHS Wellbeing Garden—Harry is reportedly worried that the toll on Catherine may be greater than the public realises.
In light of these concerns, reports suggest Harry is considering a solo trip back to the UK in hopes of reconnecting with his family, particularly Princess Catherine. Though the relationship between the Sussexes and the wider royal family remains strained, Harry is said to be hopeful about mending ties.
“His bond with Catherine was always strong,” a source shared. “He still feels for her deeply and wants to be there in whatever way he can.”
As the royal family navigates a season of both recovery and reflection, Harry’s concern serves as a reminder that behind the headlines, family connections—though complicated—can still endure.
