Royal couple enjoy Australian escape as King Charles celebrates Princess Anne's milestone birthday
Zara and Mike Tindall have delighted fans with a cheerful update from their family holiday, just as King Charles publicly honored Princess Anne ahead of her upcoming 75th birthday.
On July 18, Mike Tindall took to Instagram to share a series of sunny snapshots from the couple’s relaxing retreat to Australia’s Hamilton Island. One photo in particular captured the couple beaming on the water, clearly enjoying their time away.
In a heartfelt caption, Mike wrote:
"We had the opportunity to spend a few days on Hamilton Island this week. Despite visiting Australia several times, we had never been here before, and it has been an amazing experience."
He continued, "It’s our first time being out on the water in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park too, and it really was unreal. Queensland definitely has it all."
Calling the trip a time of "incredible memories," the father-of-three described the holiday as "an unforgettable way to spend some downtime."
The post comes just days after Buckingham Palace unveiled the first-ever UK coin bearing Princess Anne’s image, in honor of her 75th birthday on August 15. The commemorative coin features Anne’s official Coat of Arms and a regal portrait by photographer John Swannell, with the words "Duty and Devotion" engraved in tribute to her decades of royal service.
In celebration, the Royal Family invited the public to "join in marking the Princess Royal’s milestone birthday"—a nod to Anne’s unwavering work ethic and status as the monarchy’s most dedicated working royal.
The Tindalls’ joyful update added a personal touch to the royal family’s week of tributes—blending the joy of family life with the deep respect shared across generations.
