Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Neighbour Speaks Out on Family’s Safety

Concerns raised over privacy at their new Windsor home

Catherine and William are preparing to move their family into Forest Lodge in Windsor before the year ends, but some nearby residents believe the property may not offer the same level of privacy as Adelaide Cottage, their current home.

Jean Reeve, an 87-year-old neighbour from Cranbourne Hall Residential Park, shared her thoughts with the Daily Mail: “They have young children after all. They deserve privacy. I welcome them, but I hope the public allow them to live there quietly as a family. From what I know about the location, it’s less private than their previous home. I’d hate for people to always be going past saying, ‘Oh, that’s where they live.’”

Reports suggest security improvements are already underway. A metal fence with black mesh privacy screens has been installed at the front of Forest Lodge, while new shrubs have been planted for extra cover. Earlier this summer, two nearby households were reportedly asked to vacate, a move that came as an unexpected shock to the tenants.

A source explained, “Those houses are very close to the lodge. They’re not going to want just anyone living in them if royals are moving in.”

The couple’s future residence is only four miles from Adelaide Cottage, making it an area they already know well. Even so, neighbours remain cautious about how much privacy the new setting can realistically provide for the future king, queen, and their children.
