Duchess of Sussex left heartbroken as Tina Brown delivers harsh criticism
Meghan Markle was reportedly reduced to tears after a stinging comment from someone she deeply admired.
The Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down from her senior royal role with Harry in 2020, was devastated when Tina Brown, a close friend of the late Princess Diana, gave a blunt assessment of her.
“The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world,” Brown said last year. “She’s flawless about getting it all wrong. She doesn’t listen. She asks people for advice, ignores it, and then does what she wants. Unfortunately, all of her ideas are total rubbish.”
According to royal commentator Neil Sean, Meghan was left “bereft” by the remarks, especially since she had admired Brown’s work and read her book on Diana in the hope of feeling closer to Harry’s late mother.
The harsh words reportedly left Meghan both in tears and furious, as she had considered Brown a figure she could respect and connect with.
