Meghan Markle Revives ’90s Slang to Promote New Season of With Love, Meghan

The Duchess of Sussex teases season two ahead of its August 26 Netflix premiere

Meghan Markle has found a quirky way to build excitement for the upcoming season of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. On Thursday, August 21, the Duchess of Sussex shared a slow-motion video on Instagram of thin potato slices frying in bubbling oil. Over the clip, she wrote: “New season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ August 26th on @netflix.”

She then added a playful caption: “Dare I say, ‘It’s all that… and a bag of chips.’” The phrase, a throwback to the 1990s, was an unusual choice. While typically used to describe something outstanding, it can also be read as a tongue-in-cheek comment about someone thinking they’re better than they are. It’s unclear which meaning Meghan intended, but the pun tied neatly to the video.

Season two of With Love, Meghan was confirmed earlier this month after Netflix announced it would extend its partnership with Meghan and her husband, Harry, the Duke of Sussex.

The Duchess has been steadily teasing fans with glimpses of what’s to come. Just two days earlier, she posted another recipe clip, this time highlighting homemade preserved lemons as the key ingredient in one of her pasta dishes. It follows her earlier viral one-pot pasta with cherry tomatoes and spinach. “Cooking up more than pasta (with homemade preserved lemons).....so much goodness is coming soon,” she wrote in the caption.
