Prince Andrew 'Too Afraid' to Return to US Amid New Allegations

Sources say Duke of York fears legal and media fallout over Epstein ties

Andrew May never set foot in the United States again, with senior sources claiming he is “too terrified” to make the trip amid mounting controversy over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York, once nicknamed “Air Miles Andy” for his frequent overseas travel, has avoided North America for nearly a decade. Lawmakers are reportedly pressing for him to testify under oath about his friendship with the disgraced financier.

The Mirror reports that a new biography alleges the late Queen was aware of Andrew's conduct and “allowed it to happen.” The claims surface as the FBI has shelved its investigation into his connections to Epstein, while Donald Trump has reversed his campaign pledge to release all files related to his former associate's crimes.

A Washington insider told the Mirror: "If Prince Andrew sets foot on US soil again, he will meet with an avalanche of political, legal and media scrutiny. He knows it and so does Buckingham Palace. The safest option for him is to stay put in Britain and hope the storm dies down. But it won't."

Meanwhile, his eldest daughter, one of their daughters, turned 37 on August 8 and is believed to have celebrated privately with her husband and child, away from public view. The occasion came amid renewed allegations about Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in Andrew Lownie's upcoming book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.
