Prince Harry’s Fresh Interview Sparks Frustration at Buckingham Palace

Duke of Sussex’s comments on King Charles’ health said to cause “considerable irritation”

Harry’s latest television interview has reportedly left Buckingham Palace displeased, with insiders claiming the royals were caught off guard by his remarks.

The Duke of Sussex appeared on the BBC in April, shortly after losing a key legal battle over his UK security. During the conversation, he spoke openly about his father King Charles’ health, saying he did not know how much time his “papa” had left as he continues treatment for cancer. Harry also alleged that the King had stopped taking his calls to avoid discussions about his scaled-back security arrangements in Britain.

Reflecting on his strained family ties, Harry admitted there had been “so many disagreements” but insisted he had forgiven his relatives. “I would love reconciliation with my family,” he said. “There’s no point continuing to fight any more. Life is precious.”

However, the comments reportedly caused friction within the royal household. Royal commentator Robert Hardman told The Daily Mail that the interview created “considerable irritation,” with senior figures learning of it only minutes before it aired. One palace insider suggested the timing felt “like a bit of a stitch-up.”
