Biography claims future king holds deep resentment toward Duke of York and his ex-wife
Prince William reportedly wants Sarah Ferguson removed from Royal Lodge amid a long-running dispute with the Duke of York over the Windsor estate's upkeep and ongoing tensions within the royal family.
According to the new biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks by Andrew Lownie, William “loathes” both Andrew and his ex-wife, with one source claiming he “can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out.” The source added that if King Charles does not act, William would likely make eviction his first move upon becoming king.
The book alleges William has already tried to have the pair removed from the 30-room residence, believing Andrew has failed to maintain it properly. The strained relationship is said to stem from Andrew's controversial lifestyle, questionable associations, private business dealings, and alleged “rude” remarks about Catherine, although the exact comments have not been revealed.
Tensions were also evident during the royal family's Easter Sunday service earlier this year, when William, Catherine, and their children were notably absent, having extended their Norfolk holiday after a skiing trip.
