Princess Kate and Children’s Wedding Car Heads to Auction

Jaguar that carried the Wales family to Pippa Middleton’s big day expected to fetch £35,000

A piece of royal wedding history is about to go under the hammer. The car that transported Princess Kate and her children to Pippa Middleton’s 2017 wedding will be auctioned next month.

The vehicle, a 1960 Jaguar Mk IX Saloon, was used when Kate arrived with George and Charlotte for her sister’s marriage to James Matthews at St Mark’s Church, Englefield, on 20 May 2017. With its royal connection, the car is now tipped to bring in between £30,000 and £35,000, according to GB News.

The auction will take place at H&H Classics’ inaugural Kelham Hall sale on Wednesday, September 10. Collectors are already showing keen interest, with the car’s link to the Princess of Wales and her children adding an extra layer of prestige.

Meanwhile, Pippa herself has had reason to celebrate. She was recently granted planning permission to open a nursery at Bucklebury Farm, the 70-acre estate she and her husband James Matthews purchased in 2020. The £1.5 million property is set to grow into a family-friendly destination, a long-term vision for the couple.

With the Jaguar sale and Pippa’s latest venture, the Middleton sisters continue to leave their mark—whether through royal history or family-focused projects.
