King Charles III Makes Rare Exception to Meet Prince Harry Amid Cancer Treatment

Monarch Reportedly Put Health Aside for Private Reunion at Clarence House

King Charles III has reportedly made a significant personal sacrifice to reunite with Prince Harry, meeting his youngest son in person despite undergoing ongoing cancer treatment.

The meeting took place on Wednesday at Clarence House, marking the first time in nearly two years the pair have sat down together. The visit comes after Harry made public calls for reconciliation and followed behind-the-scenes talks between royal and Sussex aides described by insiders as a “peace summit.”

Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House at around 5:20 p.m., accompanied by two U.S. bodyguards and appearing pensive. The King had flown in from Balmoral earlier in the afternoon, landing at RAF Northolt before heading directly to London.

According to royal editor Rebecca English, Charles travelled specifically to hold several private audiences that had been postponed due to his weekly cancer treatments. The move is being seen as a sign of his willingness to prioritise mending ties with his son, despite the toll such travel could take on his health. The King is expected to return to Balmoral shortly after the brief London stop.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the meeting in a short statement, saying only that the King had a “private tea at Clarence House with the Duke of Sussex,” and added that no further details about their conversation would be released.
