Harry surprises his father with a personal gesture during reunion
After nearly two years apart, Harry reunited with King Charles this month in London. The meeting took place on September 10 at Clarence House during Harry’s four-day visit to the UK. The father and son shared a private tea that lasted just under an hour.
While Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the details, sources say the two greeted each other warmly with kisses on the cheek and even exchanged gifts. Harry, who admitted he felt more like a visitor than family because of the formal atmosphere, brought a framed photo of himself, Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet.

In return, the King presented his “darling boy” with an early birthday gift ahead of Harry’s 41st birthday later that week.
The moment carried extra weight, as Charles has not seen his grandchildren since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal life and moved to the United States. Despite the heartfelt gesture, Harry has made it clear that he will not bring his family back to Britain, citing safety concerns. His attempts to secure police protection for them in the UK were unsuccessful, leaving him, in his own words, “gutted” by the ruling.
