Duchess Reportedly Concerned as Harry’s UK Visit Sparks Reunion Rumours
Meghan Markle has reportedly cautioned Prince Harry against having a private meeting with Kate Middleton during his current trip to the UK, as speculation grows over a possible reunion between Harry and the Prince William.
According to insiders, King Charles III is encouraging his younger son to mend ties with both the Prince and Princess of Wales in hopes of ending the long-standing family rift. Kate is said to be open to a face-to-face meeting to help bring the brothers back together, while Meghan has expressed concern about the idea.
The former actor, 44, reportedly fears that renewed contact with the Waleses could sway Harry towards returning to royal life, something she is keen to prevent. Sources told RadarOnline that Meghan has been “very clear” about what she expects of Harry during his four-day stay in England without her or their children.
Harry has already met privately with his father at Clarence House, a 55-minute reunion that fuelled talk of further meetings. The 40-year-old Duke has appeared emotional during his visit, which comes as the 76-year-old monarch continues his treatment for cancer. Charles reportedly hopes to see his sons reconcile to secure the monarchy’s future.
The so-called “Fab Four” have not been seen together since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022, and Harry remains estranged from William. However, Kate is said to want to act as a peacemaker while Harry is back in the UK.
“Seeing Kate and Harry together again is Meghan’s idea of a nightmare,” one insider claimed. “She doesn’t trust Kate and doesn’t want her influencing Harry while he’s there.”
Another source said Kate has quietly sent messages to Harry about meeting in secret, but Meghan is “laying down the law” and wants to avoid any gossip about the pair reconnecting.
Harry and Kate were once very close, with the Duke even describing her as “the big sister he never had” in his 2023 memoir Spare. Their relationship cooled after his marriage to Meghan in 2018.
