Catherine and William could be part of a private meeting amid WellChild Awards trip
Harry has reportedly instructed his team to make contact with Buckingham Palace ahead of his return to the UK, raising the possibility of a long-awaited reunion with King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex is due to attend the WellChild Awards on September 8. His visit comes shortly after the King agreed to consider his son’s request for private peace talks. According to Closer Magazine, Harry asked his aides to open communication with the Palace to arrange a behind-closed-doors meeting with King Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Princess Catherine.
Sources say the Palace has yet to confirm, citing busy diaries due to the family’s time at Balmoral. One insider noted that while there is “no appetite for confrontation,” Harry’s determination makes negotiations complicated. Palace officials are said to be treating the situation almost like a political summit, as both sides have their own conditions.
Harry is especially keen to speak with Catherine, who he has long viewed as a bridge between him and William. “If he can get her on side, he feels the rest will follow,” the source explained.
At this stage, there is no indication that Meghan Markle will accompany him on this trip.
