Catherine moved to tears by Harry’s heartfelt wedding speech

Duke of Sussex once shared a touching moment with his sister-in-law during William and Catherine’s big day

Harry, who is expected to return to the UK soon, once held a particularly warm bond with Catherine before tensions between him and William deepened the family rift. While reports suggest he may reconcile with King Charles, it remains uncertain whether the same could happen with the Waleses.

Royal author Christopher Andersen recalled the memorable moment from William and Catherine’s 2011 wedding. During his best man’s toast, Harry jokingly apologised to Catherine “for having to marry a bald man” and playfully mimicked William’s pet names, including “Babykins” and “Billy.” He affectionately referred to the couple as “the dude and the duchess.”

The lighthearted speech took a more emotional turn when Harry told William, “Our mother would be so very proud of you,” a line that drew muffled sobs from the guests. He went on to say he loved Catherine like a sister, words that moved her deeply. At one point, she was seen wiping away tears as Harry praised their decade-long romance as his “inspiration.”

Later in the evening, Harry placed his arms around William and Catherine, and it was then that the new bride reportedly broke down in tears. Guests noted the strong bond between them at the time, with one remarking that people often underestimated how much Harry and Catherine supported each other.
