Prince Harry Says Royal Family’s Exclusion Is ‘Their Loss’ as He Balances Duty and Personal Life

Prince Harry has reportedly told those close to him that if the British royal family want to leave him out, it’s “their loss.” His recent visit to the United Kingdom showed just how much of an impression he can still make, according to royal commentator Jennie Bond.

The four-day trip marked Harry’s first meeting with King Charles in more than a year and a half and was packed with meaningful engagements. He visited organisations close to his heart, met well-wishers with warmth and humour, and donated to several charitable causes.

“He’s so good at this and seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself,” Bond said. “He’s funny, informal, and charming. This week has shown what a great loss he is to the Palace.”

Bond noted that while the Palace would have taken notice of Harry’s successful return, officials are still wary of any “half in, half out” arrangement, seeing a conflict between royal duties and commercial ventures.

Even so, she believes Harry may have found a way to make it work. By taking short, focused trips on his own terms and with his own security, he can represent the royals while maintaining his independent life in California with Meghan Markle and their children.

“Everyone assumed he’d go straight back to California, and then he turned up in Ukraine,” Bond said. “You have to hand it to him—he’s creating the halfway role the Palace never allowed, and he’s doing it entirely on his own terms.”

If you want, I can now trim this down into a tighter 180–200 word blog post version. Would you like me to do that next?
