Prince William reflects on ‘special opportunity’ as Prince Harry stays just miles away

Brothers mark Queen Elizabeth II’s death anniversary separately in Windsor

On September 8, the Prince of Wales and Catherine visited Sunningdale to honour the late Queen’s memory on the anniversary of her passing. They joined members of the National Federation of Women’s Institute, an organisation that held deep meaning for the Queen during her reign.

Just eight miles away, the Duke of Sussex quietly paid his own tribute at St George’s Chapel. According to the Daily Mail, he laid a wreath and bouquet at his grandmother’s grave shortly after arriving from California. It marked the closest the brothers have been to each other since the Queen’s funeral in 2022, though they have yet to reunite.

William later shared his thoughts in a statement posted on the official Instagram account run by Kensington Palace. “Very special opportunity to hear from members today about the importance of The Late Queen’s involvement in the organisation and meet those who met with her during her reign,” the message read.

Harry is currently in Britain for the WellChild Awards and is expected to remain for four days, though it is still uncertain whether he will meet any senior royals during his visit.
