Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew under renewed pressure over Epstein ties

Family of Virginia Giuffre demands answers from Duke of York

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are once again facing calls for accountability as pressure mounts over their connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

Virginia Giuffre, who accused Epstein of trafficking her to the Duke of York when she was just 17, died by suicide earlier this year at the age of 41. In 2022, Andrew privately settled Giuffre’s civil sex assault lawsuit for an undisclosed sum, avoiding a public trial.

Now, Giuffre’s family says the fight for justice is not over. Speaking to Newsnight, her brother Sky Roberts insisted: “Andrew has questions to answer. The settlement avoided discovery, which could have exposed more.”

Roberts also criticised Sarah Ferguson, whose resurfaced 2011 emails to Epstein have drawn outrage. In the messages, the Duchess of York apologised to Epstein for publicly distancing herself from him, despite his conviction for child prostitution.

“To call Epstein a ‘supreme friend’ after his conviction is indefensible. The public is watching, and this is just the beginning,” Roberts said.

Amanda Roberts, Giuffre’s sister-in-law, dismissed Fergie’s claim that she only apologised under threat from Epstein. “Every survivor faces defamation,” she said. “If you were in Epstein’s circle, it was very obvious what was happening. Minors were around him constantly. For friends to act unaware is preposterous.”

The growing calls for transparency underline how both Andrew and Sarah Ferguson remain under a cloud of suspicion, with public scrutiny showing no signs of fading.
