Future king carries out key duty at Windsor Castle after meeting King Charles
Kensington Palace has shared a new update on Prince William as he carried out a major royal duty at Windsor Castle.
On September 30, the official Instagram page of the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a series of photos from the knighthood ceremony. Among them was the moment William honoured Sir Gary Oldman, the award-winning actor celebrated for his roles in Harry Potter and Slow Horses.
Sir Gary, who has built a remarkable career across film and television, had long hoped to receive this distinction. Speaking previously to the BBC, he admitted, “I don’t know why. You should ask them. No nod from the royals, but there we are. Maybe it’s in my future.”
The future king also presented honours to English actress Samantha Morton and footballer Rachel Daly during the ceremony.
The update came shortly after William’s private meeting with King Charles at Balmoral Castle. Reports suggest the father and son discussed Harry’s possible return to royal duties and the uncertain future of Prince Andrew, as the family continues to face scrutiny over ongoing controversies.
