Duke of Sussex accuses “men in grey suits” of leaking details about father–son meeting
King Charles has reportedly been left “saddened and perplexed” after Harry suggested that Palace insiders deliberately undermined their private reunion earlier this month.
During his four-day visit to the UK, the Duke of Sussex met the King at Clarence House for their first sit-down in more than a year. According to The Mail on Sunday, Harry accused so-called “men in grey suits” of leaking details of the September 10 meeting to the press.
The Daily Express quoted a royal source pushing back on the claim, insisting that senior aides had been working quietly to support what they described as “a delicate but important private family relationship.”
The father and son reportedly shared tea together, where Harry presented Charles with a framed photo of Meghan and their children, while the King offered a birthday gift ahead of his son’s 41st.
Harry later told guests at a charity event that his father was “great,” but The Sun reported he privately described the meeting as “very official.” His spokesperson rejected that account, calling it “pure invention” and blaming anonymous sources for trying to derail any progress between father and son.
