Prince Harry steps back into royal fold with heartfelt admission

Duke of Sussex rejects claims of being sidelined during reunion with King Charles

Harry has pushed back against reports suggesting he felt more like a visitor than family when he met King Charles earlier this month. The Duke of Sussex, who recently spent nearly an hour with the monarch at Clarence House in London, has made it clear that he remains an inseparable part of the royal family.

A palace insider told reporters that the King was “visibly pleased” by his youngest son’s candid approach, adding that the meeting showed Harry was ready to keep the door open for reconciliation.

The tea-time reunion, which lasted about 55 minutes, sparked rumours that Harry felt treated like an outsider. But his spokesperson dismissed that narrative as “categorically false,” insisting that quotes attributed to him were “pure invention” aimed at undermining any progress between father and son.

To mark the meeting, Harry presented his father with a framed photograph. According to reports, the picture did not include him or Meghan Markle but featured the King’s grandchildren, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

For Harry, the visit was a chance to clear the air and show that despite recent tensions, he is not cut off from his family. As the palace source put it, “He has indeed returned to the royal fold.”
