Meghan Markle is said to be upset over Harry’s growing interest in reconnecting with the royal family, with some of her recent actions allegedly stirring painful memories for the Duke of Sussex.
While the Duchess of Sussex has avoided making open attacks against the royal family since her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, royal observers believe her attitude still reflects unresolved anger and hurt toward certain senior royals.
Though Meghan might not be directly standing in the way of Harry’s reconciliation, insiders suggest she isn’t exactly supporting his efforts either.
The former Suits actress recently faced criticism for reportedly sharing a video from Paris that appeared to show the bridge near the tunnel where Princess Diana was killed in 1997. The post, which quickly went viral, drew outrage and accusations of insensitivity.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams called the move “utterly bewildering” and “insensitive beyond belief,” saying it would have deeply upset Harry. Another source told Radar Online that Harry was “furious and heartbroken,” adding, “He felt she’d turned the worst moment of his life into a backdrop for a fashion shoot.”
