Prince Andrew Renounced by NSPCC After New Epstein Revelations

UK’s largest children’s charity distances itself as fresh files detail Duke’s ties to disgraced financier

Prince Andrew has been publicly disavowed by the NSPCC following the release of new documents linking him to Jeffrey Epstein during an official trip to the US.

According to The Observer, the Duke of York stayed with Epstein in Palm Beach in May 2000 while representing the charity on a taxpayer-funded visit. Andrew had been tasked with promoting the NSPCC’s £250 million Full Stop campaign, but records show he strayed from his schedule, flying on Epstein’s private jet alongside Ghislaine Maxwell.

The files even reference “Andrew” receiving a $200 massage at Epstein’s Florida mansion.

On 28 September, the NSPCC issued a sharp statement via The Telegraph: “Prince Andrew was a patron of the NSPCC Full Stop campaign, which ended in 2009. The NSPCC is appalled at the crimes committed by the now-deceased financier, Jeffrey Epstein.”

Although Andrew’s formal ties to the charity ended more than 15 years ago, the NSPCC has had to repeatedly distance itself from him. The Duke cited his patronage in his disastrous 2019 Newsnight interview, and the charity condemned him again after he settled his civil case with Virginia Giuffre.

The fresh revelations also place Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, back under scrutiny. A resurfaced 2011 email shows her apologising to Epstein for criticising him publicly just weeks earlier. In the wake of that exposure, she too was dropped by several charities.

With pressure mounting, royal sources now believe the Duke and Duchess of York may be excluded from the family’s Christmas celebrations this year.
