The Duke and Duchess of Sussex align with the Prince and Princess of Wales in advocating for digital safety and emotional well-being.
Harry and Meghan Markle marked World Mental Health Day by sharing the same message long promoted by the Prince and Princess of Wales. On October 9, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual Project Healthy Minds gala in New York City, where they were honoured with the Humanitarians of the Year Award.
The Montecito couple was recognised for their ongoing commitment to creating safer digital spaces for children and families, as well as their wider work supporting global mental health through The Parents’ Network.
After the event, a statement on Sussex.com announced that The Parents’ Network is partnering with ParentsTogether to expand access to mental health support and promote online safety for young people and their families. The collaboration was described as “a natural evolution” aimed at helping the community grow and stay effective amid rapid changes in technology.
Harry and Meghan’s efforts reflect the same dedication shown by the Prince and Princess of Wales, who continue to raise awareness about mental well-being. Catherine recently spoke at Oxford about the risks of excessive screen time for children, while Prince William appeared emotional in a new video urging people to talk openly about their mental health challenges.
Despite their different paths, both couples remain united in their mission to build a safer, more compassionate world for future generations.
