Future King said to be unhappy with Invictus job offer
Harry and Meghan Markle are offering fresh support to their cousin Eugenie as she navigates a difficult year, and the move is stirring concern within the senior ranks of the family.
A new report claims the Duke of Sussex is considering a role for Eugenie at the Invictus Games. Sources say she has been feeling exposed after recent turmoil involving her parents and is looking for stability. According to the report, life in London has become uncomfortable for her, and the Sussexes believe she and her sister could find more freedom in the United States.
The couple have apparently told King Charles’ niece that she would have space within Invictus or Meghan’s business projects if circumstances in Britain become more challenging. Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank already has links to a US property firm, which could make a transition abroad easier.
The report also suggests Harry and Meghan hope to build a small circle of like-minded family members, prompting speculation about a so-called group of royal rebels. Insiders say William is unlikely to welcome the idea, seeing it as a sign of shifting loyalties rather than a simple offer of help.
Even so, those close to Harry insist he is not trying to make a point. They say he is genuinely concerned for his cousin’s well-being and wants her to have options if she chooses a different path.
