Harry reportedly supports his father’s firm stance on Andrew as the King takes decisive action to protect the monarchy’s image.
King Charles has reportedly made a significant move to safeguard the royal family’s reputation, taking decisive action over Andrew’s future within the monarchy. Despite past tensions, it appears the King and his younger son remain on good terms.
After Thursday’s announcement that Andrew would lose his “prince” title and his Royal Lodge residence, royal correspondent Matt Wilkinson revealed that Harry extended his support to his father. According to The Sun on Sunday, Harry “may have been in touch in recent days” and is said to “support Charles ending Andrew’s allowance.”
This gesture suggests continued goodwill between father and son, following their tentative reconciliation in September. While past disagreements between the Palace and Harry caused unease, the latest reports indicate the two remain on peaceful terms.
Speculation has also surrounded the future of Harry and his children’s titles. However, royal commentators note a clear distinction between Harry and Andrew’s situations. Experts believe the King is unlikely to take any step that could be seen as “vindictive,” especially as he aims to promote unity and stability within his reign.
Culture expert Nick Ede added that if Charles were ever to consider removing Harry’s titles, it could easily “backfire,” undermining the King’s broader message of reconciliation and respect.
