The hardest-working royal makes the King proud during Singapore visit
Princess Anne earned fresh praise for a thoughtful gesture during her recent trip to Singapore, where she marked 60 years of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and the country.
While visiting the National Orchid Garden, she viewed a plant named after King Charles and Queen Camilla that had been placed beside one honouring the late Princess Diana. According to The Times, if Anne had any thoughts about this choice, she kept them to herself, quietly steering clear of any debate around the display.
Buckingham Palace later shared details of the trip, noting that Anne and her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, met both the President and the Prime Minister of Singapore and paid their respects at the Kranji War Memorial. Anne also unveiled a new potted orchid called Delphinium Anne and learned about production work at the Rolls-Royce Seletar Campus.
Her steady approach and long-standing commitment to public duty continue to make a strong impression. Earlier this year, King Charles marked her 75th birthday with a touching tribute: a newly minted coin featuring her portrait, a nod to her decades of dedication to the monarchy.
