Andrew shows no sign of leaving Royal Lodge

King’s order to relocate to Norfolk appears to make little impact

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is treating King Charles’s demand to vacate Royal Lodge with striking calm. Despite being told to move to Sandringham, he remains in place and shows no sign of preparing to leave.

He was seen at Windsor Castle on Monday morning, his first public appearance in nearly seven weeks. Riding through the grounds on horseback and speaking easily with a companion, he looked relaxed and settled, not like someone preparing for a major move.

His return follows a difficult November in which King Charles formally removed his HRH style and Prince title through Letters Patent. The step, tied to ongoing scrutiny of his links to Jeffrey Epstein, was confirmed in The Gazette on 3 November.

Nothing about his latest outing suggests progress toward Norfolk. According to GB News, the relocation could stretch on for months, casting doubt on when Sandringham will actually become his new base.

For now, he remains at the 30 bedroom Royal Lodge with Sarah Ferguson. One of their daughters was recently photographed leaving the property looking subdued, a sign of the strain surrounding the situation.

Since early October Andrew has kept a low profile as those around him try to manage the transition. Buckingham Palace has called the measures “necessary,” adding that leaving Royal Lodge is not optional but part of the broader response to the continuing fallout.
