‘Furious’ Prince William Wants Andrew Kept at a Distance

The Prince of Wales is said to be determined to protect the monarchy from further scandal

Prince William is reportedly pushing for his uncle, Prince Andrew, to be kept as far away from the heart of royal life as possible, according to a royal expert.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal commentator Hilary Fordwich claimed that the future king is determined to distance Andrew from the House of Windsor. She suggested William is keen to ensure that his eventual reign is not overshadowed by past controversies.

Fordwich said William is the strongest voice within the family calling for Andrew’s continued exclusion. In her view, the Prince of Wales does not want to risk further damaging headlines or fresh revelations that could undermine public confidence in the monarchy.

She added that William is highly aware of public sentiment, noting that trust remains a central issue for the royal institution. From his perspective, keeping Andrew at arm’s length is seen as essential while he focuses on duty and plans to modernise the monarchy.

The comments come as changes loom for Andrew’s living arrangements. A source recently told Hello! that Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are expected to leave Royal Lodge by 25 January.

According to the insider, Ferguson has supported Andrew for years but is now ready for a fresh chapter. She is not expected to move with him to his next home on the Sandringham Estate.
