Prince Harry has made a low-key public appearance in California as reports swirl about tension at home with Meghan Markle, just days before he is due to return to Britain.
The Duke of Sussex was spotted visiting local Santa Barbara fire stations alongside John Mills, co-founder and CEO of Watch Duty. During the visit, firefighters walked them through the realities of emergency response, from brush trucks and rescue ATVs to thermal search-and-rescue drones.
Watch Duty later shared photos from the visit on social media, explaining that Harry and Mills spent time learning how first responders operate when seconds matter. Firefighters also praised the charity for providing clear, real-time information that helps them make fast decisions to protect local communities.
Harry’s appearance comes amid fresh claims of friction behind the scenes. Sources quoted by Radar Online suggest Meghan has been pushing ideas aimed at keeping the couple in the spotlight, which has reportedly led to tension at home.
According to insiders, the couple are said to be developing a film adaptation of The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory. Meghan is reportedly keen for Harry to make a cameo, believing it would send a strong message that they are working as a united team.
One royal source claimed Meghan feels they are at a critical moment and wants Harry to be visibly involved so the project reflects their partnership moving forward.
