A royal expert has dismissed claims that Prince William and Catherine are facing marital problems, saying the couple remain strong and focused on the future.
The speculation began after William and Catherine announced they had hired a new communications strategist, Liza Ravenscroft, who has been nicknamed “bulletproof sunshine.” Some social media users took the move as a sign of trouble behind the scenes. However, royal expert Helena Chard says that interpretation is completely wrong.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Chard said, “As for speculation about the Prince and Princess of Wales’ relationship being pushed to the brink, that’s simply not the case.”
She described the couple as a “tight-knit, solution-focused family” and said Catherine, in particular, has undergone a personal shift. According to Chard, “Reflective Catherine has a new appreciation for life, a renewed sense of purpose and a focus on positivity, moving the monarchy forward with integrity.”
Chard also praised Ravenscroft’s appointment, saying her experience will help protect the couple from unnecessary controversy. “Ravenscroft’s talent is well documented,” she said. “She will dampen any possible negative media scrutiny and help distinguish the Prince and Princess of Wales from past controversies.”
Reports suggest the decision to bring in Ravenscroft was ordered by King Charles but supported by both William and Catherine.
Chard previously claimed that ongoing royal scandals made the hire necessary. She pointed to several challenges, including Prince Andrew’s fall from grace, the rift with Harry and Meghan Markle, and increasing financial scrutiny of the monarchy.
According to the expert, these pressures have pushed William to take a more strategic approach to protecting both his family and the institution.
