Sources claim the former Duchess of York is struggling with housing and finances
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly keeping a low profile in Portugal as she faces growing uncertainty about her living situation and finances.
According to New Idea, the former Duchess of York has parted ways with her ex-husband Andrew following renewed fallout linked to their past associations with Jeffrey Epstein. The report also claims King Charles has ordered the pair to vacate Royal Lodge, with eviction expected by February 19.
Amid these developments, the magazine alleges that Sarah is currently staying at an undisclosed location in Portugal, believed to be a friend’s home. One source said she has been “hiding out” since her latest public setback and is unsure what comes next.
“With no home and no money, her circle of friends is said to be rapidly diminishing,” a close confidant claimed.
The same source suggested even her daughters are keeping their distance, and that earlier plans for her to move into Beatrice’s Cotswolds granny flat are no longer happening.
“Sarah is scared. She has no idea where she’s going to live and how she’s going to afford it,” the insider said.
Those close to her describe her as feeling lost and increasingly isolated. While she is said to be relying on a small group of trusted staff and supporters who check in on her regularly, the source added that she is effectively living in exile.
“Not many are standing by her,” the insider claimed. “No one can while there are still Epstein files to be released.”
For now, Sarah’s future appears uncertain, with questions still hanging over where she will live and how she will support herself as pressure continues to mount around her.
