The Duke of Sussex reportedly feels senior royals are determined to keep him away despite hopes of reconciling with his father
The Duke of Sussex reportedly believes palace insiders are “hell bent” on keeping him out of the UK, even as he wants to repair relations and reunite with King Charles.
According to Heat Magazine, Harry was left disappointed after his recent trip to London for his court case against Daily Mail publishers ended without seeing any members of the royal family. A source claims that snub deepened his sense that some senior figures are actively working against him.
The insider said Harry feels that Queen Camilla and Prince William are among those resisting his return. “He thinks there are people behind palace walls determined to keep him out,” the source said, adding that Camilla and William are believed to oppose what they see as him getting special treatment.
That rift, especially with his brother, has been hard to bear. The source described the situation as emotionally draining, saying the anger and frustration Harry feels are “consuming and unhealthy”.
Beyond family tensions, Harry is also said to be struggling with distance from old friends, many of whom remain close to William. The insider noted that even those sympathetic to him have busy lives, making regular long-distance contact difficult. It has not gone unnoticed, they added, that none have travelled to California to visit over the years.
While he has tried to build a social circle in Montecito, most of the couple’s contacts come through Meghan Markle. The source said Harry gets on well with them, but it does not replace the comfort of lifelong friendships.
Combined with an ongoing family feud and multiple legal battles, the strain is reportedly taking its toll. The insider claimed his anxiety has left him constantly on edge, and that Meghan is increasingly worried. “It’s obvious he’s suffering,” the source said, adding that there is concern things could reach a breaking point if nothing changes soon.
