King Charles speaks about compassion and kindness after Andrew’s Royal Lodge exit

King Charles has spoken about the comfort found in compassion and kindness, with a message released just hours after his brother Andrew quietly left the Royal Lodge.

In a recorded address shared by the palace on social media for Stand Up To Cancer, King Charles III reflected on the role of care and empathy during treatment, marking World Cancer Day. The palace said the King spoke of the “deep comfort found in compassion, expertise and kindness at every stage of treatment.”

In his message, the King thanked those supporting patients and families, saying, “To all those who care for patients and families and to everyone who offers support in ways seen and unseen, we thank you.”

The timing drew attention because it came shortly after Andrew moved out of the Royal Lodge. Reuters, citing The Sun, reported that Prince Andrew, the King’s younger brother, left the Windsor estate following fresh scrutiny over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the report, Andrew, 65, had hoped to remain longer at the 30-room Georgian mansion but departed under cover of darkness on Monday. He was driven to a cottage on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, ending decades at the Royal Lodge.

Andrew’s move marks another low point after years of controversy that have continued to cast a shadow over the royal family.
