Inside the paranoia claims that quietly fractured the bond between the royal brothers
Prince William has reportedly been left deeply affected by the collapse of his relationship with his younger brother, Prince Harry.
According to a new royal biography, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, the Prince of Wales has privately grieved what he sees as the loss of a once unbreakable bond. The book paints a picture of quiet heartbreak, rather than public anger, as William comes to terms with how far apart the brothers have grown.
Author Russell Myers writes that William struggled to pinpoint a single moment when everything changed. An insider told the author that William felt he had “lost his brother” somewhere along the way, even if he could not say exactly when it happened.
The biography also suggests the long-running feud has taken an emotional toll on William and his wife Catherine, who have both chosen to keep their feelings private. While the brothers were inseparable for many years, tensions reportedly began well before the Duke of Sussex stepped back from royal duties with his wife, Meghan Markle.
The rift became impossible to ignore after Harry’s high-profile interviews and the release of his memoir, Spare. Since then, William has largely stayed silent, choosing to protect his privacy rather than respond publicly to the claims.
Behind palace walls, however, the book suggests the future King has been quietly mourning not just a feud, but the brother he feels he no longer has.
