Disgraced royal makes low-key appearance as investigation continues
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been spotted in public for the first time in weeks following his recent arrest, drawing renewed attention to his ongoing legal troubles.
The younger brother of King Charles was seen on March 21 walking his dogs across the Sandringham Estate, accompanied by security, according to People Magazine. The sighting marks his first public appearance since February 19, 2026, when he was taken into custody.
Reports suggest the arrest was linked to an investigation into the alleged misuse of confidential information during his time serving as a UK trade envoy. Andrew was released later the same day after spending around 11 hours in custody, with the investigation still ongoing.
Authorities are also believed to be examining matters connected to his past association with convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein, an issue that has continued to follow him in recent years.
Andrew stepped back from royal duties in 2019 after facing intense backlash over a televised interview in which he addressed his links to Epstein. The controversy deepened as longstanding allegations brought by Virginia Giuffre resurfaced, all of which he has consistently denied.
The fallout ultimately led to him being stripped of his royal titles and honours by King Charles. Since then, Andrew has largely stayed out of the spotlight and is now said to be living quietly on the Sandringham Estate with minimal staff.
