Insiders claim the Prince of Wales has shut the door on any future contact, as calls grow for Andrew to step aside from succession
Andrew is said to have received new instructions from the palace following a decisive move by William that insiders describe as both final and deeply personal.
According to royal commentator Rob Shuter, the Prince of Wales has taken a clear and uncompromising stance regarding his uncle. Sources close to the situation claim William has drawn a permanent boundary, particularly when it comes to protecting his immediate family.
One insider told Shuter that Andrew will no longer be allowed anywhere near Catherine or their children, adding that the decision is not open for reconsideration.
The reported move marks a significant shift, suggesting that tensions within the royal circle have reached a point where reconciliation is no longer being considered.
At the same time, separate claims from author Tom Bower point to increasing pressure on Andrew from within palace circles. Speaking during a YouTube appearance, Bower alleged that Andrew has been approached with a direct proposal to voluntarily remove himself from the line of succession.
He explained that such a step could be taken through a formal declaration, effectively ending Andrew’s position in one move. Bower described it as the “cleanest solution” to an ongoing issue that has continued to cast a shadow over the monarchy.
The discussion reportedly took place at Sandringham, where a palace representative is said to have raised the option directly with Andrew.
Journalist Harry Cole later shared the claims online, highlighting the suggestion that the palace is actively encouraging Andrew to step back permanently.
While none of these reports have been officially confirmed, they point to a growing effort to distance the royal institution from ongoing controversy, with William seemingly leading that shift in a more decisive direction.
