Former Duke of York believed he was untouchable as the King’s brother
Prince Andrew is said to be furious with King Charles, reportedly feeling deeply “betrayed” by the monarch amid his ongoing troubles.
According to Heat World, the former Duke of York is struggling to accept how events have unfolded. A source close to the situation claims Andrew is “seething” over what he sees as public humiliation, placing the blame firmly on Charles and the wider Royal Family.
The insider suggests Andrew has been pushing his brother to step in and support him more directly, particularly when it comes to helping fund his legal battle. At the same time, he is said to be angry about how the situation has been managed from the Palace.
Andrew reportedly believes he is being made a scapegoat and feels it is unfair that he is facing the consequences alone. One source claimed it particularly stung that Charles was attending London Fashion Week events while Andrew was dealing with serious legal pressures, calling it “salt in the wound.”
Those close to the situation say Andrew was unprepared for authorities to take action against him. He allegedly believed that, as the King’s brother, he would be shielded from such treatment.
Meanwhile, Charles has made it clear he wants transparency, a move that Andrew reportedly sees as leaving him exposed. In his view, the Palace has allowed public scrutiny to intensify rather than stepping in to protect him.
However, sources also suggest Andrew is determined to make sure his version of events is heard. And if that means implicating others along the way, he is reportedly prepared to do so.
