Princess of Wales joins temple dance and opens up about her children during Leicester trip
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, shared a charming glimpse into her family life while taking part in a lively cultural visit in Leicester.
The royal spent the day in the city on March 5, 2026, meeting members of the local community and celebrating the culture of Britain’s Indian community following Holi festivities earlier in the week.
During the visit, Catherine watched a vibrant Bollywood performance by the Aakash Odedra Company. Impressed by the dancers’ energy, she joked about how much her children would have enjoyed the routine.
“You must be super fit because it’s super energetic,” she told the performers. Catherine added that her children would have loved watching the performance, especially the lively dance routines.
The Princess of Wales also had the chance to try a few dance steps herself while visiting Shreeji Dham Haveli, a Hindu temple that serves Leicester’s Vaishnav community. The light-hearted moment drew smiles from those attending the visit.
Later in the day, Catherine stopped by Bobby’s, a well-known family-run Indian restaurant in the city. While sampling chai tea and traditional sweets, she chatted warmly with the owners and shared a small detail about life at home.
“I love coriander and chili but William is less of a fan of coriander,” she said, laughing.
The visit offered a relaxed look at the Princess of Wales engaging with local culture while also sharing a few personal moments about her family.
