Monarch Reportedly Unbothered by Sussexes’ Plans as Other Pressures Take Priority
King Charles has reportedly taken a clear stance on Harry and Meghan Markle as they prepare for their upcoming visit to Australia.
According to royal commentators, the King is choosing to pay little attention to the couple’s movements, focusing instead on more pressing matters within the monarchy.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward suggested the Sussexes are working to maintain visibility for financial and personal reasons. “They are obviously trying to promote themselves and need to keep a high profile,” she explained.
However, she noted that Charles has bigger concerns at hand. Ongoing issues linked to his brother, Andrew, continue to place strain on the King, drawing his focus away from Harry and Meghan’s activities.
“He’s got plenty of other things to worry about,” Seward said, adding that the monarch is unlikely to be distracted by what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are doing at this point.
Reports also highlight that Andrew’s past controversies remain a significant burden for the royal family, reinforcing why Charles is prioritising internal matters over external developments involving Harry and Meghan.
