According to a report, insiders believe Meghan has been closely following a traditional royal-style strategy in her appearances, despite previously criticising the institution. One source claimed this contrast has only added to tensions, saying it is likely to “inflame the situation.”
The discussion has also brought renewed focus on William and Catherine, with suggestions that both are frustrated by what they see as ongoing attempts to compete with their roles. The source alleged that the couple are particularly uneasy about efforts that appear to overshadow wider family engagements.
Catherine, in particular, is said to feel the situation has reached a point where it needs to be addressed directly. Reports claim she believes Harry is being influenced in many of these decisions, though she still holds him equally accountable for the outcome.
The insider added that, from her perspective, it is time for Harry to take a firmer stance and bring an end to what they described as an ongoing “charade.”
