Confusion surrounds social media claims as Netflix insists projects with the couple continue
Meghan Markle is said to have been unfollowed by Netflix boss Ted Sarandos on Instagram, just days after the streaming giant stepped away from her lifestyle venture, As Ever.
Reports suggest Sarandos also no longer follows the brand’s official account. He had previously been described as one of the early supporters when Meghan Markle returned to social media in early 2025. However, some sources now claim he may never have followed either account at all, casting doubt over the speculation.
The timing has raised eyebrows, coming shortly after Netflix ended its partnership with As Ever, a lifestyle brand launched last year with financial backing from the platform. The move marks a shift in their collaboration, separate from the couple’s original content deal.
Despite the headlines, Netflix maintains that its relationship with Meghan Markle and Harry remains intact. The pair signed a high-profile deal with the company in 2020, reportedly worth $100 million, and ongoing projects are still in development.
Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajaria recently addressed the situation, confirming that work is continuing behind the scenes. He noted that while some agreements naturally come to an end, others are still moving forward, including film and television projects.
As Ever may no longer be part of Netflix’s plans, but the broader partnership with Meghan Markle and the Duke of Sussex appears far from over.
