Royal expert claims the Duke of Sussex may be seeking to reconnect with his family during the latest royal crisis.
Reports suggest that Harry may have quietly contacted his father, King Charles, and his brother William as the royal family faces renewed scrutiny linked to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward shared the claim while speaking to the Mirror, suggesting the Duke of Sussex could be trying to rebuild communication with his relatives during a difficult moment for the monarchy.
According to Seward, Harry likely felt compelled to reach out following the recent controversy surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. She believes the situation may have encouraged Harry to express sympathy and support to his family.
“I do feel there is a desire from Harry for a rapprochement,” Seward said, adding that she is convinced Harry would have contacted William regarding the situation. However, she also noted that whether the two brothers actually spoke remains unclear.
The royal expert suggested Harry may also have reached out to King Charles to show concern and maintain some level of communication during the ongoing controversy.
Seward believes the current situation involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may have unintentionally opened a small window for renewed contact between Harry and the royal family.
At the same time, reports claim King Charles could be considering a significant gesture toward reconciliation. According to the speculation, the monarch may offer Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former Royal Lodge residence to Harry and Meghan Markle after reportedly moving his younger brother out of the property.
The development comes as King Charles is said to be interested in easing tensions with the Duke of Sussex. The rift between Harry and the royal family began after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior royal roles and relocated to California in 2020.
