Prince William is reportedly at odds with Queen Camilla over King Charles’ workload as concerns about the monarch’s health continue to grow.
According to a report by Radar Online, the Prince of Wales has been urging his father to reduce his royal duties and focus more on recovery. However, sources claim Camilla has encouraged the King to continue carrying out his public responsibilities.
Insiders told the outlet that William has repeatedly asked Charles to “genuinely take a step back” and prioritise his health. Each time the subject comes up, it is said to create tension between the future king and the Queen.
A source claimed Camilla believes it is important for Charles to maintain his public role despite health worries, adding that the disagreement has become a recurring point of conflict.
The reported differences reportedly became more visible during a recent state banquet.
According to insiders, William felt strongly that the King was not well enough to attend the event and should have rested instead. Camilla, however, reportedly believed their presence was necessary, particularly given the intense scrutiny facing the royal family.
The banquet ultimately went ahead, though the decision reportedly did little to ease concerns.
A palace aide suggested that William now views the situation as a serious disagreement with Camilla. The source claimed the Prince of Wales feels deeply concerned that Charles may be pushing himself too hard, believing his health should remain the top priority.
