Prince William Reportedly Frustrated Over Delay in Removing Andrew From Line of Succession

Future King Said to Be Concerned About Impact of Ongoing Scandal on the Monarchy

Prince William is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated over delays in removing Prince Andrew from the line of succession.

According to royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah in The Sunday Times, the Prince of Wales wanted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor taken out of the succession order last year. However, government sources suggest that any formal move could still take years to complete.

Andrew currently remains eighth in line to the throne. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are ninth and twelfth respectively. No decision has been made about whether they would also be removed, though sources say all options remain open.

The report claims William had hoped the process would begin last autumn, around the time Andrew’s royal titles were stripped. He is said to have privately expressed frustration that the issue was not addressed then.

Following the recent release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein in the United States, a spokesperson for William and Catherine said the Prince and Princess were “deeply concerned” by the ongoing revelations, adding that their thoughts remain with the victims.

The future king is believed to be anxious about the long term effect of his uncle’s scandal on the monarchy and what it could mean for his own reign.
