Royal commentator shares insight into the Princess of Wales’ warm and down-to-earth personality
Catherine is being praised for her natural, low-key personality and easy charm, according to a royal expert who has met her several times.
Emily Andrews, editor and co-host of the Catching Up with the Royals podcast, recently shared her thoughts about the Princess of Wales in an Instagram video, describing her as warm, welcoming and surprisingly funny.
Speaking about her personal encounters, Andrews said that meeting Catherine feels relaxed and genuine. She explained that while the future queen can appear slightly guarded at times, she also has a lively sense of humour that often catches people off guard.
“I’ve met Kate, or rather Catherine, on a number of occasions and she has a cracking sense of humour,” Andrews said.
The royal editor noted that Catherine is “very, very funny” in person, adding that conversations with her often feel easy and friendly.
According to Andrews, meeting the Princess of Wales is much like catching up with someone you already know. She described the experience as “like meeting an old friend,” highlighting Catherine’s approachable nature.
In another Instagram post, Andrews also shared a lighter detail about the royal, joking that Catherine is “never without a can of Diet Coke.”
