Meghan Markle and Harry Reflect on Emotional Final Day of Australia Visit

Couple conclude four-day trip in Sydney with tributes to courage, community and sport

Meghan Markle and Harry have shared reflections on the final day of their visit to Australia, bringing their four-day trip to a close with engagements in Sydney that highlighted resilience, community spirit and the power of sport.

In a statement posted on their website, the Duke and Duchess said their final engagements focused on remembrance and the strength shown by communities in the face of hardship.

Honouring courage at Bondi Beach

Earlier in the day, Meghan Markle and Harry visited the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club, where they met first responders and survivors connected to the December 2025 Bondi beach attack. Representatives from the Sydney Museum were also present.

During the visit, the couple listened as lifesavers and survivors shared their experiences and spoke about the ongoing process of healing after the tragedy. They later joined lifesavers on the beach for a short rescue demonstration, which highlighted the bravery and teamwork shown by those who responded on the day.

The moment served as a reminder of how communities often come together during difficult times.

Time with the Invictus community

After their visit to Bondi, Meghan Markle and Harry spent time with Invictus competitors and their families during a sailing outing on Sydney Harbour.

The couple joined veterans and their loved ones aboard several boats, chatting and sharing stories while taking in views of the harbour and city skyline. The relaxed gathering offered an opportunity to connect with members of the Invictus community in a more informal setting.

A sporting finale in Sydney

The final engagement of the day took place at Allianz Stadium, where Meghan Markle and Harry attended the Super Rugby Pacific match between the NSW Waratahs and Moana Pasifika.

Following the game, the couple met players from both teams and spoke with them about the role sport plays in bringing people together.

According to the statement, the evening provided a fitting end to their visit, celebrating community, connection and the unifying spirit of sport.
